Watt Car Rentals - Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Watt Car Rentals. By renting a vehicle from us, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read these terms carefully before proceeding with your rental.
1. Rental Agreement
1.1 Rental Period The rental period begins when you pick up the vehicle and ends when you return it to our designated location. Early returns or late pickups may result in additional charges.
1.2 Vehicle Use You agree to use the vehicle in a safe and lawful manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. The vehicle must not be used for any illegal purposes or in violation of any terms outlined in this agreement.
1.3 Authorized Drivers Only individuals listed on the rental agreement as authorized drivers may operate the vehicle. Additional drivers must be approved by Watt Car Rentals and may incur additional fees.
2. Rental Charges
2.1 Rental Fees Rental fees are calculated based on the duration of the rental and the type of vehicle. Rates are subject to change based on availability and demand. The final rental charge will be provided at the time of booking.
2.2 Security Deposit A security deposit of $300 is required at the time of rental. This deposit is used to cover any potential damages, late fees, or additional charges incurred during the rental period. The deposit will be refunded upon return of the vehicle in good condition, subject to a vehicle inspection.
2.3 Additional Charges You may incur additional charges for:
- Fuel: If the vehicle is returned with less fuel than at pickup, a refueling fee will apply.
- Excess Mileage: Charges may apply if the mileage exceeds the agreed limit.
- Late Return: Late returns will incur additional daily rental charges.
- Damages: Any damage to the vehicle will be deducted from the security deposit or billed separately if the costs exceed the deposit amount.
3. Vehicle Maintenance and Condition
3.1 Vehicle Inspection The vehicle will be inspected for damages before and after the rental period. Any damages or issues not reported at pickup will be assessed at return and may result in charges.
3.2 Maintenance You are responsible for ensuring that the vehicle is returned in the same condition as when it was rented. Report any mechanical issues or damages immediately to our office.
4. Insurance and Liability
4.1 Insurance Coverage Our vehicles are covered by basic insurance, but you may choose to purchase additional coverage or a waiver to reduce your liability in case of accidents or damages. You remain responsible for any costs not covered by insurance.
4.2 Liability You are liable for any fines, penalties, or damages incurred during the rental period. This includes damages to the vehicle, other property, or injuries resulting from the use of the vehicle.
5. Cancellation and Refunds
5.1 Cancellation Policy Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled pickup time to receive a full refund. Late cancellations or no-shows may result in forfeiture of the rental fees or a cancellation fee.
5.2 Refunds Refunds will be processed for any overcharges or deposits after vehicle return and inspection. Refunds may take several business days to process.
6. Privacy Policy
Your personal information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which outlines how we collect, use, and protect your data. By renting a vehicle, you consent to the terms of our Privacy Policy.
7. Governing Law
